Accredited Venepuncture training

This course was constructed at the request of one of our pharmaceutical industry clients whose product had received NICE backing but required regular biochemistry tests to be undertaken. The limiting factor on it's use was the number of nursing staff in the community who could undertake venepuncture. By training extra personnel they were able to improve the drug care of the patients and also their market share.

The course lasts for two hours and looks at both the theory and the practice of venepuncture. Each candidate then undertakes an assessment by taking a blood from a realistic simulated arm. Each candidate receives a comprehensive handout. A certificate of competency is issued which then allows the trainee to undertake supervised venepuncture on real patients before they gain authorisation from their employing authority.

The cost of the course is £250 plus VAT
