We
offer five types of training:
SPECIALIST COURSES
We run a variety of
pre-hospital training courses every year. These are approved or
accredited by outside regulatory groups and are ideal for people who
wish to expand their knowledge, their skill, and their curriculum vitae.
We are still in the process of developing our 2009 programme of courses,
but those dates which we have finalised can be viewed by following this
link.
CUSTOM COURSES
We provide a wide variety of
lectures, training sessions, study days and week-end courses for
training your employees or members. These can be used as part of a wider
educational package, or can be stand alone units. This section is ideal
for the pharmaceutical company representative wanting a lunchtime or
evening training session, or an afternoon training half day to fill a
protected training time slot. We can provide for groups up to forty at a
single time, depending on the subject taught. Follow this link to view
the courses.
CONTRACT COURSES
We are happy to negotiate
the provision of a regular training session to NHS Trusts or business
organisations so that they may ensure their employees are conversant
with, and practised in current resuscitation, first-aid, or major
incident management. Follow this link for further information.
e-books
The Safety at Scene manual
has recently been published in it's second edition as an e-book. We
intend to publish further titles in the near future. Follow this link
for further information.
FAMILY COURSES
You may have a family member
who has had a heart attack or whose health makes them vulnerable to
medical emergencies, whether diabetic coma, epileptic fits, severe
asthma, or cardiac arrest. We can provide emergency training which
empowers you and your family to cope with these emergencies. We have
personal experiences of the anxiety that this type of medical problem
brings. Even as professional pre-hospital emergency providers we worry
about the health of those we love.
However. there is no need
for you to worry what you would do if your spouse or parent had a heart
attack whilst walking in remote areas. We can provide you with the
knowledge, skills and equipment that you would require to manage the
situation. Obviously we have no arrangement with the Grim Reaper, but we
can provide you with the best management plan to keep the dust on the
life insurance policies!
