
Dr Bob Bennett, G.P. in Eccleston,
Lancashire; Director of Eventmed.
Bob is a keen member of Med-ALERT, the All
Lancashire Emergency Response Team. He is a Course Director for
Major Incident Management Courses, is an ALS instructor and is Race Course Medical
Officer at Haydock Park Race Course.

Dr Vic Calland, Formerly G.P. in Preston,
Lancashire; Director of Eventmed.
In 1988 he was a founding
member of Med-ALERT, the Lancashire Immediate Care scheme. For
several years he regularly taught Fire-Fighters at Washington Hall
Fire Training Centre and Lancashire Ambulance Personnel in aspects
of Pre-Hospital Care. He is a Fellow of the Faculty of Immediate
Care of the Royal College of Surgeons (Edinburgh) and the Honorary
Treasurer of the British Association for Immediate Care (BASICS).
He has written a book on
Safety at Scene, now in its second edition and published by
ResQMed. He has been the Medical Officer to an Exploration Group,
and a Mountain Rescue team. He is a H.S.E. approved Diving Medical
Examiner. He has lectured on the subject of bariatric extrication
and has a paper on the subject awaiting publication in the
Emergency Medicine Journal.

Dr Ian Roberts, General Practitioner, Director
of Eventmed
Ian is a Medical Officer at Haydock Park Race
Course and also teaches Medical Students from Liverpool
University. He is particularly skilled at training practice staff
and also takes an active part in arranging courses for new
clients.

Mike Richardson
Mike was a Clinical Nurse Manager for the National
Blood Transfusion Service and has an international reputation as a
trainer in the management of patients undergoing plasmaphoresis
techniques. He has wide experience in Emergency Medicine and
trauma and now works as a Resuscitation Training Officer.

Dr Andy Curran
Andy is a recent addition to our training Faculty.
He spent six months on HEMS (the London Air Ambulance) and is a
Consultant in Accident & Emergency at the Royal Preston Hospital.
He also responds for Med-ALERT (the Lancashire Immediate Care scheme).

Nigel
Robinson
Nigel is a
trauma nurse by training but has just retired from his position as
Executive Officer of a Community Health Council. He is a First
Responder for the Lancashire Ambulance Service and has also been a
County Staff Officer for St John Ambulance for many years. He
currently works as a Custody Nurse in the detention facilities of
Lancashire Constabulary.

Jeff
Keegan
Jeff
was a
senior firefighter at Blackpool Airport and was also a retained firefighter for Lancashire Fire & Rescue.
He has recently changed jobs to become an Instructor at the
International Fire Training Centre at Euxton in Lancashire. Jeff teaches on the
Safety at Scene course where his considerable experience is
invaluable.
