BASICS Education has for many years run a Royal College of Surgeons (Edinburgh) approved course for those who wish to undertake Immediate Care training. This nationally recognised course is run at well appointed venues with comfortable en suite bedrooms and quality catering. The magnificent environment certainly makes the fully packed course more enjoyable. However, for those who cannot arrange funding the cost can be prohibitive, so, with the full approval of BASICS, we arrange courses where the price is pared to the minimum.

We have a non-residential course in Chorley. Accommodation is available at the location but at extra cost. Only lunch is supplied as part of the course cost. The idea of the course is to allow candidates who cannot get weekdays off to complete the course. It also has the advantage of allowing a week to consolidate and practice the skills of the first two days before taking the examination.

The course costs £675 plus VAT .

Held at brand new purpose built accommodation the residential course can offer a low price because accommodation is in four person dormitories and participants will be expected to provide their own sleeping bags or bed linen. The food is basic but tasty and wholesome, you will be expected to help wash up, the male & female washroom facilities are efficient and pleasant but obviously communal, and the bar is limited in scope but well stocked! The accommodation will be full to the brim, so do not come on this course if you want privacy, luxury, and no waiting.
