Major Incident Training Course

There has never been such a need for Major Incident management training since the end of the Cold War. The events since September 11th World Trade Centre massacre and 7/7 have served to increase rather than decrease the risk of further terrorist attacks. Society is more mobile, and more industrialised, and attends more large public events and also possibly less disciplined. Everyone who provides any form of health care should be aware of the procedures that are implemented when a Major Incident occurs.

The changing profile of major incidents has lead to the realisation that training needs to be more structured. This is an area which is currently being reviewed by the Department of Health and so, in anticipation of significant changes being announced in the not too distant future we have decided not to offer a course at present. As soon as we can deliver the new course we will promote it.
