Equestrian Event Medical Officers Course

(formerly the Race Course Medical Officers Course)

This two day course is the one from which Eventmed UK Ltd originated. Bob Bennett is an experienced Race Course Medical Officer and trainer who was asked by his colleagues to "put a refresher course on for Race Course doctors". The single course was in such demand the next year we ran seven, and have been running the course ever since! Eventmed UK Ltd was thus born and has grown healthily ever since.

The course is popular even though intensive, and whether general practitioner or consultant much can be gained from a Faculty picked for their experience in pre-hospital care. The course is held at the Race Course with accommodation in a local hotel. We are pleased to announce that we have now gained approval for this course by the Faculty for Pre-hospital Care of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.

The course is continually adapted to take in both developments in pre-hospital care and medical training. With a programme of continuing upgrade of our training equipment the training and testing scenarios have become VERY realistic.

Course reading material is sent out about three weeks in advance with a mentor available to assist your pre-course study through an e-mail system.

Price is £570 (plus VAT at 17.5%) per person excluding accommodation. (Please note that we are only able to charge VAT at 15% until the 1st January 2010 and then we have to invoice you a further 2.5%)
