Cardiac Emergencies
With the development of
Paramedic Rapid Response vehicles, pre-hospital thrombolysis,
treponin tests and primary angioplasty it is tempting to assume that
General Practitioners should call for the Ambulance Service whenever a
patient says they have chest pain and leave them to sort it all out. For
large parts of the UK however the response time means that the doctor is
still under an obligation to initiate care and therefore we developed
this one hour presentation on acute coronary syndrome, cardiac failure
and cardiac arrest to bring the General Practitioner up to strength on
the latest developments.
The lecture covers
diagnosis, pre-hospital management and post discharge care of the
patient. It is ideal for Pharmaceutical representatives marketing
cardiac drugs who want a presentation for a lunchtime or evening
meeting. All attendees receive a certificate for their Personal
Development Portfolio. The cost of the presentation is £185.
